Believe in yourself

Very often, when we are faced with a difficult situation, we tend to turn to those we consider our closest friends for advice.

We weigh their words and very often act on them too. But I do believe that NOBODY is really 'qualified' to tell YOU, what will work and what will not work in YOUR situation. (I am obviously not talking about advice  on a particular skill set required to do a specific task)

The fact is nobody, (not your parents, not your best friend, not even your soul mate) is going to really understand what YOU, as an individual are going through. They are always going to tell you what they presume will work or not work, for your greater good.

But they truly aren't experiencing the exact same emotions that you are. They may say they understand and in fact they may believe that completely do, but truly they will never get it. Your dreams, your pain, your hopes, your emotions are truly yours alone.

Am I saying that you should never ask for advice? NO. We have much to learn from older folks who might have gone through a similar situation. Age does have its advantages after all.

But I think the best way would be to follow what your inner voice tells you. Spend some time alone. Write down what is bothering you. I have discovered that writing in a journal is truly a great way to give direction and expression to that inner voice of yours which often gets drowned.

Believe in yourself. You are definitely more awesome that you think. Yes, you can do it,
All you have to do is believe.

And take that one step at a time.

Always remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with that single step. And the hour is always darkest just before dawn.

JUSTIFY YOUR LIVING

LIFE KEEPS SMACKING WITH SURPRISES. IT SOMETIMES PACKS US WITH FRIENDS, LOVE AND HAPPINESS BUT EMPTIES THEM WHEN WE NEED THEM THE MOST. IT’S NO BIG DEAL. NOT THAT WE CANNT LIVE WITHOUT THEM, BUT OUR ADDICTION TOWARDS PLEASURES MAKES US CRAVE FOR THEM. FOR A LAYMAN IT MAY APPEAR LIKE LIFE IS SNACTHING HIS HAPPINESS AND PLAYING WITH IT , BUT SURVIVERS TAKE IT ON THE OTHER WAY. THEY THINK THAT LIFE IS STRENGTHENING THEIR GRIP BY PUTTING THEM IN AWKWARD SITUATIONS AND THEY TAKE IT AS A OPPURTUNITY TO FIGHT BACK AT LIFE WITH A TOUGHER INSTINCT. AND THEY DO WELL. IT’S SAID THAT EVEN A DIAMOND CANNT SPARKLE WITHOUT RIGOROUS POLISHING. ONLY A HUGE SEASTORM CAN MAKE A SAILOR, HOW CAN LIFE BE SPARED FROM IT.

PEOPLE SAY THAT LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN JUSTIFIED FOR THEM BUT THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE NEVER DOES JUSTICE WITH ANYONE.IT SENDS US DIFFICULTIES TO FIGHTBACK AND TOUGHEN OURSELVES NOT TO GIVEUP AND START CRYING OVER LIFES MENANCES. ITS OUR FAULTS THAT WE CANT COPE WITH OUR FAILURES. EVERY ROAD TO OUR DESTINATION WILL OFFER US WITH PROBLEMS. IT WILL BE OUR CHOICE WHETHER TO STRUGGLE OR GIVE UP. HOW CAN WE SIMPLY CHOOSE THE EASIEST ALTERNATIVE AND BLAME OUR FATES. WOOERS CAN’T BE WINNERS. THAY WILL KEEP ON CRYING ON EVERY OPPURTUNITY THAT LIFE SENDS THEIR WAY, THINKING IT TO BE ANOTHER SET BACK AND IN THIS COURSE, THEY PASS THEIR ENTIRE LIFE, JUST WAITING FOR HAPPINESS TO COME THEIR FEET. GOD PROVIDES GRAINS TO EVERY BIRD BUT CERTAINLY DOESNT PUT IN THEIR NEST, SIMILARLY LIFE PROVIDES EVERYONE WITH OPPURTUNITY BUT IN THE FORM OF DIFFICULTY.

THIS LIFE IS THE MOST VALUABLE POSSESTION FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL, SO WORTH IT..

STATUS UPDATE

The world according to facebook founder Mark zukenberg, is defined by your status update.and who the hell remembers yesterdays update??Nevertheless here is my pick of the events of 2k11,which made a difference in the lives of the young and facebooked.
India against corruption’s crusade in august last year, which galvanised young people across the country like never before. They skipped work and bunked colleges to join the protests on the ground,to carry candles and placards in support of the movement. The movement was about national interest. And yet ,they plunged into it both online and offline .A daily drama played out in 140 characters, and it was covered live, like a hot new reality show by excitable television anchors.
Four months later, it all appears to a distant dream, a part of “history”. The cache has been cleared of idealistic chatter. Conversation in the canteen is back to cricket, bollywood and girls.
Speaking of cricket, India’s win over sri lanka in the world cup cricket was possibly the proudest moment of the year for any citizen of India. But even more for the youth, who have absolutely no recollection of the 1983 world cup victory.
The trouble is the performance of team India since that victory. Young India still loves Dhoni but rather spent its time watching F1 and Manchester united.F1 bole toh ,2011 was also the year that India “arrived”, with the Buddha international circuit at Greater Noida. It was thrilling to know that the gods of racing were descending on our soil.

With humanity also comes tragedy twenty –two year old Malini Murmur, a first yea student at IIM- Bangalore, commiteed suicide in September after being humiliated on face book by her boyfriend.
The peril of living your life 24x7 online is now vividly reflected in us.Now youth is all about extremes-of passion, of depression, of ascension.
To pick out any more “events” of 2011 which defined or changed youth is kind of irrelevant. Yes, Steve jobs died, but life must go on. The future is ours and what we make of it.
